Goodbye SUMMER! see you soon!

Aj, Rj and I planned to go to Alcoy this summer so we did! and even though we just stayed for a night, we all enjoyed the beauty and fresh air of Alcoy... we even want to stay longer!

Rj, wanted to do time lapse (wth the stars and the moon) but failed since it was raining! But every bad thing has it's beauty.. because it was raining, the presence of lighnting was there and they had fun capturing it. I got really scared!!!!!
So then, RJ woke up really early to do the time lapse with Alcoy's sunrise and me, well, took some shots! I can't just not capture this beautiful sunrise!
I live in the city since I was born. It was a very great sight for me seeing the fishermen preparing their sail to catch fishes even before the sun is up.. They have no bosses to please, no time to be conscious of, except, I dunno.. if what time they can have a good catch??? and seeing them enjoying of what they do, just gave me a huge sigh.. I mean, we sometimes make things very much complicated when life is just so simple.
My stay wasn't really that great since when I woke up (or maybe a little later) I received a phone call from someone (family) informing me a very bad thing. haaaaay.. but anyway, there will always be a rainbow always after the rain.. all bad things will just eventually pass by..
Sands and sea waves on my feet ^_____^

Just did some cinematic effect on this photo ;)

GOODBYE SUMMER, SEE YOU SOON!!! ;)

Busy Bee

It has been a month? I think? or more than that, since I last posted.. things has been very hard and busy lately and as far as I remembered, this is the last set of photos I took for a self portrait.

As I was browsing photos from #instagram, I stumbled upon a photo of someone that I look up to - a designer, blogger, entrepreneur, baker, singer, stylist - she's one multi-talented woman! and she's really gorgeous! I love how strong her personality is, she's like wonder woman.. she would be a perfect role model of women today.

So anyhoo, about the photo, I was inspired of the photo of the woman I just mentioned above so I tried to mimic the headband she wore and the make up. hehe Though I have posted this in instagram already and facebook, I really want to share a blog post bout the photo above. And yes! I have been a busy bee lately because I have been conceptualizing and working on something and I really really hope this will work!!! I'll post about it SOON! :)

Good Morning!

pinch me, is this real?

before mama got in the picture.. I was doing some self portrait shots! I have been wanting to do those sillhouete-like photos but it didn’t turn out as planned.. instead, I came up with this!

A friend once asked me why do my face change in photos? does it? I really don't know why exactly but I came to think.. maybe because of the hair? I change them every now and then.. and I always play with my hair, you may not notice it because I do have tricks LOL kidding! or maybe it's because of the "photo concepts"... you see, I make it to a point that when I do take pictures, even self portraits, I always follow a certain theme and effect.. I always wanna achieve a certain mood to a photo set that's why organizing a shoot isn't that much easy because you have to fit all the team up!

And maybe because I take shots.. well, not just because I need or have to have a new profile photo in FB sheeesh but to try out a concept and how I post process it in photoshop!

The photo above, I did put it first in the set because I myself can tell that I look different! haha I look like when I was in kindergarten (I looked for a photo that time wherein I look exactly like this!)
here you go! hahahaha

Well, maybe the point is that I don't want same old photos again and again and again.. I want to present  a variety of concepts but still providing consistency in all photos, now that's the challenge!
so here are the photos!!! been loving flower crowns lately! haahah :)

So there, I have been wanting to do pre-nups and weddings.. pre debuts too! Even want to help really with conceptualizing pre-nups and pre debuts.. Luckily I will have my first cover on a wedding at the end of the month and soon will have a pre-debut shoot! :) (been thanking God for the blessings)

Nothing in the world that I love, but to shoot.. I know it is kinda the "in thing" right now.. but if people get to fall out of love with photography, I'd still be in love with it. I even wanna marry it but just like relationships, I am still in the process of  deciding if me and photography are exclusively meant for each other! And by "exclusively", means making it as my ultimate profession... because I have been away for so long with my first love which is interior design.. Yes! I am torn between two lovers as of now..

but oh well, that's for me to figure out!
Have a great day ahead! :*

Floral Crowns

You might have been seeing a lot of photographs with floral crowns with them! That's why I organized a shoot (ATHENA) with the floral crowns highlighted. :)

So I took shots of the floral crowns I made..
(silly coco, she wanted to chew them so I put it on her head and then he suddenly behaved) cute!!!
I chose to white and yellow flowers to give it a dainty, flowery and fresh ambiance for the shoot.
I used faux flowers so that I can still use it in other shoots! Real flowers are expensive too and eventually dies.. so it is greatly recommended if you use faux flowers. ;)
I made three floral crowns and spent less than 500 php!!! :)

What I used were:

1. Faux flowers
2. wire (make sure it is soft enough so that you can bend it
and hard enough to make the ring hold the flowers)
3. Pliers (for cutting wires)
4. thinnest wires for arranging the flowers.. It is colored green too so it will just go with the colors
5. lace
6. scissors

What I did is first I measured the ring (before I cut it) to the circumference of my head and make sure you give a little bit allowance so that the leaves and flowers still has room to fit in. You don't want to make your models uneasy :p

Then I cut the flowers (faux) their stems were also wires inside, so you can easily twist them around your ring wire. Use the thinnest wire to make sure they won't fall and to make sure that your flowers are placed well.

After I put them all together, I covered the wired behind the flowers with laces to give it a girly feel hehe This is optional though.. and you can use materials other than laces for the wires. The other two I made, I used pink chains for it's wires..

so here's a photo that I shot using the floral crowns!

K, that's all! haha :)
This BLOG should be titled "The Adventures of a PHOTOHOLIC" bow!. :D

just like the old times.. BUT WAY BETTER!

I can't explain of how happy I am that I did this shoot with some new and old friends.. just like the old times when my other group of  friends and I decided to create a group called BLACKLIST, as what AJ always tells me before... it was my happiness, and it really was! it was such a heartbreak for me to let it go, but as what they always say and I strongly believe that if a single swing door closes a double swing door opens HA! ^_^ but don't get me wrong, I didn't easily give up. I tried to fix up things and get everything back to how it is.. it's just that I told myself, I can't do this alone...

Until, I decided to let go and trash away all the negativity around me..
and guess what? I have managed to gather people up to make this concept shoot very possible! I have teamed up with great people with such great talents and passion.

and then I looked back, and ask myself.. "did I just told myself that I can't do a concept shoot?"
BUT I DID IT! yeay! :)))
here's one of my photo.. it is expanded and slightly manipulated..
(might post before and after photo)

I consider myself lucky because of the great people I have teamed up with.. especially to miss Crissy Yongco who did the three models' hair and make up and most especially to Issa Laya-og (FGM) who lend me his two models and did the three models' styling.. ^__^  models were Jonna Alesna, Kia Villamor and Clarivel Bandejas.

I really love working with Issa (FGM), they are very fun to be with yet still treats everyone professionally. I love how they bond together and treat each other as family.. one thing that I admire this group the most! They have respect for each other, love for their passion and care for their FGM family.
Yes, we all have goals.. but the most important is the great experiences we encounter on that journey and most especially the people we hold hand in hand together upon reaching that very dream we wanted.
